to weather the storm

to weather the storm
explores walking in the British and Irish landscapes as a process for healing trauma. Alienated by places of comfort, these barren landscapes possess the artist’s body and guide him to rediscover himself. The fragmented photographs represent a parallel between the weathering rocks and an inner storm, where edges have no limit and the neutral and uncharacterised become authentic through ambiguous interpretation.

The publication reveals a personal reflection, an intimate experience of losing oneself in contemplation. From the feel, touch, and smell the viewer can engage with the image but also has the element of leaving their own imprint on the book, which at some point will disintegrate through time and use.
